Floating the River

Here we are in New Braunfels floating the river with Scott and his family! Adam even stood out in the rain to make sure we had dinner!! We had a great time and enjoyed getting to visit with him. Scott and his girlfriend Marcy were both back from Iraq and relaxing during their 2 weeks off. Jeremy, Rhealyn and I also drove back to Conroe 2 weeks after the river for one more chance to see Scott and send him on his way. Angela's kids, Bryce and Kinsley, loved playing with Rhealyn. She got a picture of Rhealyn trying to eat Bryce's nose! We truly miss Scott and keep him and Marcy in our prayers. We'll see you again in November...stay safe!!!

Salt Lake City 2

Here are the rest of the Salt Lake City trip pictures!! The second half of our stay we went with Jeff and Gerri to their camp out in Manila, Utah. The drive was pretty and the view at the camp was gorgeous!! Jeff took up fly fishing down Green River and it was so much fun!! I actually know how to fly fish now! Jeremy caught 3 fish! It was fun watching him cast...it just looks so beautiful and peaceful. It was amazing floating down the river with mountains on both sides of us...very relaxing! Ben and Jake were also there and they make things a lot more entertaining! Jake is really smooth and great at fly fishing. Jeremy and I are ready to go back and visit all of them again!
Rhealyn had a big milestone while we were in Utah. She laughed for the very first time! It was so precious. She still only laughs every now and then, you have to get her really excited before she lets one out!
After our trip to Utah we stopped off at New Braunfels...

Salt Lake City

Wow!! Was it gorgeous! We didn't want to leave. There was no humidity!! Brad and Kathy let us stay at their house and Kelsey let us take over her bathroom. Thank you so much! Great Grandma also got to see her little one and love on h er. She is doing well and just can't get enough of Rhealyn. We all went camping up in the mountains at Lodge Pole. The view was beautiful and the weather was so nice. Rhealyn loved being outside. We went fishing and almost all of us caught a fish ;) We also went on a hike. It's amazing how altitude can inhibit your athletic abilities. Rhealyn slept for most of the hike. Jeremy finally got his chance to eat at Cotton Bottom and have the famous Garlic Burger. It was great, but Kathy could smell us coming home a mile away. We also paid 2 visits to Iceburg's, a place with wonderful thick shakes. Of course I was the one that really wanted to go the 2nd time...I can't resist my sweet tooth. More on our visit tomorrow!!
